About the E-builders NZ Ltd crew About Donna: E-Builders NZ Ltd is owned and operated by Donna Russell, a journalist, sub-editor, photographer and web designer based in Whangarei, New Zealand. With more than 25 years working in different media, honing the skills needed for this business, I can offer a wide range of skills for your project. I qualified as a journalist at the Auckland University of Technology in 1981 and have worked as a journalist, features editor, agriculture editor and garden page editor. I also worked in Perth, Western Australia as editor of the Master Builders Association's The Builder newspaper and in London as a sub-editor on the award-winning Building magazine, where top quality work was always demanded. On my return to New Zealand, I became agriculture editor and then a sub-editor at the Northern Advocate newspaper in Whangarei, New Zealand. Over the next 12 years working as a sub-editor, I honed skills in design and layout, graphics, attention to detail and planning projects. In 1999 I graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Media Studies from Massey University, with a special interest in online media. I also undertook web design training through Auckland University of Technology. In 2000 I decided to concentrate on E-Builders NZ Ltd, to develop my own business in web design, freelance journalism and editing. I write a computer column every week, which is now syndicated to three publications. I'm also a tutor in web design for local evening classes. I'm doing what I love, and this shows in my work. Carla tackles database designs and programming, and is skilled at adapting open source software to our clients' individual needs.
